Current Open Positions

As a member of JSA’s executive team, the role of CFO is to contribute to the company’s success by proposing and implementing growth strategies, running day-to-day operations and making day-to-day tactical financial decisions, producing revenue and profit targets, administering financial policies and procedures, projecting and adapting budget projections, producing clean audits and complying with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) policies.

Strategic opportunities anticipated in this role include managing JSA’s first company valuation, reviewing current and proposing new compensation regime, securing JSA’s first line of credit, converting JSA to employee ownership, financing additional offices, overseeing local, state federal and multi-national contracts, and developing a quality assurance regime.

The CFO reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Responsibilities

  • Propose and execute long-range strategies for growth and profitability
  • Propose and execute short-term tactical actions to ensure day-to-day financial success
  • Hands on management of day to day accounting tasks including Accounts Receivable/Invoicing, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and General Ledger and Closing duties
  • Prepare timely and accurate weekly and monthly financial reporting and analysis, including cash forecast and profit and loss comparison to budgets/forecasts
  • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and FAR regulations
  • Provide pricing support for new projects and report on projects’ budget versus actual results
  • Work with management to establish corporate forecasts and budgets and help JSA manage towards short and long-term strategic financial objectives
  • Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities
  • Manage bank relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position

Role

Provide logistical support for 1-3 projects.  Project assistants maybe assigned to a specific program and also work in concert with a Project Coordinator. Project Assistants report to an Associate, Senior Associate, Principal or Executive.
